Professional Information

Dr. Leesa Marante graduated from Florida State University with her Ph.D. in 2021. She specialized in school-age language and literacy development and disorders. She has been a practicing speech-language pathologist in the school setting since 2016. Her research interests include supporting school-based SLPs to improve their working conditions, increase their job satisfaction and self-efficacy in providing effective, evidence-based language intervention. She is an active contributing member in the field of speech-language pathology with publications, guest lectures, and participation in state and national associations. Currently, she is a voting member on ASHA's School Issues Advisory Board as the research representative.
