Torrey Loucks, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Communication Sciences and Disorders who specializes in 1) the neuromotor control of voice and speech and 2) causal mechanisms and treatment outcome in stuttering. Dr. Loucks received his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and his Master of Clinical Science in Audiology from Western University in London, Ontario. He received his PhD from the University of Toronto in Speech-Language Pathology with specialization in Neuroscience. Dr. Loucks' research interests are in the neuromotor control of speech and voice with extensive research into finding causal mechanisms of stuttering along with more recent work in treatment outcomes. He has expertise in articulatory kinematics, neuroimaging and sensory processing paradigms.
